EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Ethel Cecilia Roger announces her passing on Wednesday, September 04, 2013 at Eunice Manor at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, September 06, 2013, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Sensat Celebrant.

Ethel was a secretary for Dr. F.J. DeRouen for over 17 years and Dr. P.W. LaHaye for over 10 years. She enjoyed reading, camping and had a special love for animals. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her husband, Earl Roger of Eunice three daughters, Debra Johnson and husband, Craig of Eunice, Rhonda Dietz and husband, Tim of Montgomery, TX, and Gina Lagrange and husband, Chad of Eunice a brother, John Hubert Roger of Atlanta, GA two sisters, Barbara Comeaux of New Caney, TX and Juanita Siffert of Sugarland, TX. She was a loving and wonderful grandmother to six grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Kristi McLeish, Philip and Angela Dietz, Elizabeth and Lauren Mire and one great grandchild, Jaxx Johnson. Also mourning her loss are nieces, nephews and friends.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Edvin and Cecile Andrepont Roger brother, Vernon Roger granddaughter, Kayla Sue Johnson and her aunt, Eve Andrepont.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, September 05, 2013 at 5:00pm until 9:00 and again on Friday, September 6th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
