BASILE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ethel Lee Molitor announces her passing on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 76. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Basile. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Smith officiating.
Ethel Lee never met a stranger and loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her especially her two sons, Wesley Molitor, II and wife, Christy Stakes, and Allen Gokey and wife, Donna Stanford, all of Basile; her two daughters, Cynthia Spears and husband, Kenneth, and Catina Hebert and husband, Dwayne, all of Basile; sisters, Banita Tramonte and husband, Jim, and Sue Clair and husband, Henry, all of Lake Charles; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren; and her canine son, Soccer.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Gokey, Wesley Molitor, and Cedrick Fontenot; daughters, Brenda G. Thibodeaux and Clara "Twiggy" Duhon; grandson, Anthony Duhon; parents, Murphy and Eve Miller Johnson; two infant brothers, Louie Lewis Johnson and Rayford Haney Johnson; brothers, Ina Johnson and Atlas Johnson; and sister, Gwen Johnson.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Basile on Sunday, April 10th from 2:00 pm until time of services on Monday, April 11th at 1:00 pm. Deacon Robby Leger will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Sunday evening.
