Ernestine Lafleur

EUNICE With great sadness the family of Ernestine D. Lafleur announces her passing on Friday, August 26, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 90. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Chuck Ortego, officiating.

Ernestine was born on July 24, 1932 to Leonard and Merelia LeJeune Daigle. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed every moment of it. She loved taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. especially her children; Diane Lafleur Cormier and husband, Kenneth of Eunice, Julie Lafleur Johnson and husband, Glenn of Evangeline, Edward Steven Lafleur and Melisa of Eunice and Elizabeth Lafleur Johnson and husband, Robbie of Evangeline; siblings, Helen Lafleur and husband, Huey of Evangeline, Elgia Conner and husband, George of Jennings and Carrie Simon and husband, Ulysse of Crowley. She was a proud grandmother to eleven  grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, as well as extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Lafleur; great granddaughter, Abbie Claire Miller; brothers, Wilson, Leroy, Floyd, David and Elray Daigle; sisters, Ella Mae Deshotel, Ruth Miller, Cecile Miller, Ann Doucet and Margie LeJeune.

At the requests of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, August 28th from 10:00 am until time of services.

Carrying Ernestine to her final resting place is, Greg Miller, Derrick Miller, Nick Cormier, Garrett Fuentes, Matt Cormier, Ryan Cormier, Josh Cormier and Alex Fuentes.
