EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Earnest Guillory announces his passing on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Senior Village Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Opelousas at the age of 98. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet. Rite of committal will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery with Father Justin Arockiasamy, SVD Celebrant.

Earnest was a patriarch of the Guillory family, a retired farmer and construction worker but most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His finest asset was his love for his family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his four sons, Donald R. Guillory and wife, Kim of Madison, MS, Ernest Guillory, Jr and wife, Cheryl of Mt. Vernon, WA., Peter C. Guillory and wife, Connie of Holland, MI and Hilbert Guillory of GA two daughters, Geraldine Guillory Dargin and husband, Fred of Lake Charles and Elaine Guillory Bishop and husband, James of Missouri City, TX a sister, Ophelia G. Guillory of Lake Charles. He was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Valentine Guillory his parents, Arvile and Mary Miller Guillory two sons, Hilton and Gerard Guillory one daughter, Rebecca Guillory and two brothers and four sisters.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet on Saturday, June 21st from 8:00 am until time of services.
