EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Elma D. Andrus announces her passing on Monday, December 09, 2013 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice surrounded by her loving family. She was 75. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12 noon on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Elma was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved to cook and work in the yard with her flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed deeply by her two daughters, Donna A. Fitzgerald and husband, Carl of Basile and Sherald Lynn Manuel and Joel Ortego of Eunice brotherinlaw, Kenneth Andrus of Basile sister, Earline Guillory of Eunice. The joys of her life her three grandchildren, Joseph Manuel, Jr. and wife, Jada, Ryan Paul Manuel and wife, Lynnae and Holly A. Courville and Donnie Talbot five great grandchildren, Gavin Olivier, Ayden Courville, Kenneth Courville Talbot, Brooklyn Manuel and Houston Manuel two nieces, Debbie Thibodeaux and Norma Dean Phillips and a godchild, Patrick Guillory.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Joseph Calvin Andrus parents, Raphael and Ophelia Manuel Devillier brothers, Nelon and Russell Devillier and a sister, Rena Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, December 12th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, December 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 5:00 pm Thursday evening.
