EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 3:30 pm for Ella Ruth Fontenot, 80, who passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Lafayette General Hospital. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum.

She leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss her. Ruth is survived by her two sons, Carl J. Fontenot of Lafayette, and Gary Wayne Fontenot of Eunice; her three daughters, Sherryl Bourgeois and husband, Joseph of Thibodeaux, Deborah Savage and husband, Jim of Pompano Beach, FL, and Kathy Heinen and husband, Keith of Eunice; her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodule and Oline Rozas Vidrine; and her husband, Allen B. Fontenot.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
