EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elizabeth Rose Lejeune announces her passing on Saturday, March 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving girls at the age of 67. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.

Elizabeth was a very involved farmer’s wife and dedicated mother. She worked tirelessly alongside her husband on the family farm, driving tractors and pulling crawfish, amongst other day-to-day duties. She also found great joy in quilting and sewing and tending to her yard and flower beds. As a beloved member of the ACTS retreat family, Elizabeth inspired many with her dedication to faith and service. At Annunciation Catholic Church in Duralde, she directed the youth choir, sharing her passion for music by playing guitar and singing, enriching the spiritual lives of those around her. She also loved to cook and cherish moments spent with her daughters and family.

She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her daughters, Andrea Miller of Duralde, Lauren Comeaux and husband, Chris of Duralde, and Lynnette James and husband, Jay of L’anse Meg; seven grandchildren, Alexys Miller, Joseph Miller, Colin Miller, William Comeaux, Jack Comeaux, Harper James, and Jett James; one great-grandson, Sawyer Miller and one great granddaughter, Payton Rose Miller; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Neil LeJeune; her parents, Errol and Etheline Young; and sisters, Gwendolyn Humbarger and Debra Decou.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, March 18th from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Wednesday, March 19th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will pray a rosary at 6:00 pm on Tuesday.
