EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Elizabeth Joyce Green Dupre on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Jerry Mesley Celebrant.

Elizabeth known as Joyce to all who knew her worked many years at Ardoins Department Store and Millers shoe store. She had a love for camping, fishing, gardening and dancing. Her greatest joy in life was her family including her husband,
Erast Crip Dupre, Jr. of Eunice her two sons, Randy Dupre and wife, Connie of Youngsville and Phil Fusilier and wife, Lynn of Tallahassee her five sisters, Violet Moore of New Point, Indiana, Henrietta Robbins of Houston, TX., Louella Hardin of Menard, TX., Maggie Newman of Lafayette and Greta Sliman of Kinder. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Brandon Fruge, Ashley Chaney, Scott Fusilier and Cynthia Rodgers and further blessed with five great grandchildren. Joyce will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.

Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Morris and Rena Daigle Green five brothers, Rufus, Dane, Harold, Curry and Patrick Green a sister, Germaine West.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 7:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Sunday evening.
