BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 10:30 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Egbert Joseph Ardoin, 73, who passed away Monday, August 27, 2007. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery with The Reverend Fr. Edward Duhon officiating.

A loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Mr. Ardoin is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Ardoin of Basile; two sons, David Duhon of Basile, Edward Duhon of Eunice; one step-son, John Bakker of Slidell; one step-daughter, Jeanne Bakker-Hanrahan of Glen Mills, PA; three brothers, Louis Ardoin of Eunice, Hilton Ardoin of Moss Bluff, Don Ardoin of Basile; one sister, Deoradine A. Fruge of Westlake; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hadley and Dula Ardoin; grandson Anthony Duhon.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening.
