EUNICEThe family announces with sorrow the death of their beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Edward Jack Miller who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He died on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou at the age of 83. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 02, 2010. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Edward known as Jack to all who knew him serviced his country proudly in the United States Merchant Marines and Army as well as a retired tool pusherdriller in the oilfield. He loved to hunt, fish and garden. His greatest joy in life was his family including his beloved wife of 59 years, Annie Veillon Miller of Eunice his three sons, Darrell Miller and wife, Cynthia of Mamou, Neil Miller and wife, Denise of Lafayette, Glenn Noonie Miller of Eunice his daughter, Lisa Miller Fontenot and husband, Joseph of Eunice his brother, Arthur Ray Miller of Eunice his sister, Diana Garnett of Clarks his nine grandchildren, Shannon Bertrand Mocanu, Cody Miller, Korey Miller, Ashley Miller Thomas, Jessica Miller Cormier, Logan Miller, Alex Miller, Taylor Fontenot and Briley Fontenot and ten great grandchildren.

Edward now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, McKinley and Mary Roy Miller his son, Bryon Keith Miller three brothers, Robert Dale Bobby, John Donald and McKinley Skeet Miller, Jr. his two sisters, Nancy Coleman and Ramona Kester.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, October 1st from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, October 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday evening.
