EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Edward Carrier announces his passing on the evening of Thursday, May 01, 2014 at his home at the age of 76. A Service will be Celebrated at 12 noon Sunday, May 04, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Senset Celebrant.
Edward known as Ed to all who knew him was a retired butcher as well as a volunteered for Eunice Baseball Program. He loved to hunt, fish and loved to have his grandkids over for a fish fry. Edward will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 58 beautiful years, Nelwyn Carrier of Eunice. Ed was also extremely loving and proud of his four children, Cheryl Dies, Donna Rozas and husband, Jerome, Darryl Carrier and wife, Lori and Delana Dubroc and husband, Butch all of Eunice. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to eleven precious grandchildren, John, Jason and Jeremy Dies, Katie, Jacqueline, Jody, and Casey Rozas, Heather and Heath Carrier, Megan and Kristian Oncale and to twelve great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Eldridge Carrier and wife, Chris of Youngsville and a sister, Lessie Rougeau and husband, James of Eunice as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He lives on in all his family, friends, and anyone who had the grace to be touched by him.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Louis and Eula Courville Carrier three brothers, Louis, A.C., and James Carrier two sisters, Annie Huckaby and Thelma Long.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, May 3th from 10:00 until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, May 4th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.
