EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Earnest Earnie Ray Rashall, Sr., born on July 12, 1938, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at his home in Eunice surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 73. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Danny Ortego officiating.

Earnest known as Earnie was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He entered the United States Navy at the age of 17, serving in the Korean War as a diver from 1955 until 1959. After serving in the military, Earnie moved to the SulphurLake Charles are where he resided for over twenty years while working for Cities Service until his retirement. Upon his retirement, he moved to Eunice, Louisiana where he resided until his death. He will forever be remembered by his loving wife of 50 years, Connie Rashall of Eunice two sons, Richard Clement and companion, Rhonda Martin of Orange, TX and Earnest Beno Ray Rashall, Jr of Eunice three daughters, Rae Woodruff of Sulphur, Nittie Donohue and husband, Ronnie of Mamou, and Haeven Rashall of Eunice brother, William Rashall of Orange, TX sister, Brenda Rashall Drawy of Kemper, TX and the loves of his life his eleven grandchildren, Tonya Miller, Nikki LaFleur, Daniel Donohue, Alena Fontenot, Patchez Bordelon, Jessie Woodruff, Macie White, Daniel Beard, Trevor Woodruff, Alandon Rashall, Lily Rashall and Hunter Rashall and his eight great grandchildren, Kaleb LaFleur, Kaitlyn Donohue, Brennan LaFleur, Allie Papoose Fontenot, Joslyn Miller, Alyssa Bordelon, Wesley Donohue and Reese LaFleur. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dad, we love you and miss you. Until we see you again.

He is preceded in death by his father and step mother, C.L. and Velma Rashall, Sr. mother, Lilly Jackson Rashall and brother, C.L. Rashall, Jr.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2:00 pm until time of Services on Monday, December 12, 2011.
