IOTAIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Dwayne Shannon Doucet, announces his passing on Monday, December 19, 2011. He was 47. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Iota. Rite of Committal will follow in the Iota City Cemetery with Pastor Gary Koopman officiating.

Shannon was a welder for an Industrial Fabrication Sandblasting Services, LLC in Iota. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and cook but most importantly he was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and friend who loved his family including his wife of 20 years, Kanthi Dietz Doucet of Iota his parents, Robert and Aline Abshire Doucet of Iota his two sons, Corey James and Jesse Colin Doucet both of Iota his daughter, Shay Lynn Dietz Doucet of Iota his three brothers, Mike Doucet of Berwick, Brian Doucet and wife, Jamie Lynn and Scott Doucet all of Iota his three sisters, Monica Buller and husband, Jason, Jamie Richard and husband, Shannon, and Kristy Durio and husband, Troy all of Iota as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved maternal grandparents, Arcade and Melba May Abshire his paternal grandparents, Amos and Iris Doucet his father and motherinlaw, William Rusty and Barbara Thibodeaux Dietz.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, December 22nd from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, December 23rd from 8:00 am until time of services.
