EUNICEA wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Dula F. Fruge will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Dula died at Eunice Manor Nursing Home in Eunice on Tuesday, February 09, 2010 at the age of 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Austin Leger Celebrant.
Dula was a retired manager at the Eunice Elementary school cafeteria and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Pink Ladies. Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Earl Fruge and wife, Martha of Baton Rouge her three grandchildren, Carla F. Lanoux of Denham Springs, Melaine F. Curry and husband, Charles of Baton Rouge and David M. Fruge and wife, Mary of Denham Springs and her eight great grandchildren, Kristina and Marc Curry, Megan, Cierra and Macie Fruge, Raymond, Reanna and Rylee Lanoux. Also mourning her loss is her niece Juanita McCullough and husband, Roy of Lake Charles.
Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Joseph E. J.E. Fruge and her parents, David and Lula Courville Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 2:30 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:30 pm Wednesday evening.
