Dorothy "Dottie" Olivier Brickley Cardana

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts the family of Dorothy “Dottie” Olivier Brickley Cardana announces her passing at her home on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 72. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 10:00 am in the Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. 

Dorothy, known as “Dottie” to all who knew and loved her, was born on February 15, 1952, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Kearny and Dorothy Romero Olivier. She found great enjoyment in watching Hallmark movies every day, especially Christmas ones. She also had a deep love for her family and friends, whom she claimed to be family. Dorothy was a person who had a kind, good heart, and her great grandbabies were the greatest loves of her life.

 Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jackie LeJeune and husband, Tony and Jennifer Stagg and husband, Troy, all of Eunice; step daughters, Kim Simpson and husband, Ken and Kristy Cardana and partner, Rob Snyder; brothers, Kenny Oliver and wife, Neva of Milton and Al Olivier and wife, Cathy of St. Rose; eleven grandchildren, Kady Menier, Ricky Menier, Eddie Menier, Anthony LeJeune and wife, Haley, Jacob LeJeune and fiancé, Annabelle, Kylan Daigle, Trevor Brickley, Lillian Brickley, Montana Brickley, Cooper Brickley, and Walker Brickley; three great grandchildren, Carter Johnson, Gabriel LeJeune, and Levi LeJeune; as well as extended family and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Brickley and Michael Cardana; son, Robert “Beef” Brickley; her parents; brothers, Charles Olivier, Rex Olivier, and Bill Olivier; and sisters, Gayle Denias, Lonnie Bourg, Jessic Marsiglia, and Charlene Olivier.

 At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 6:00 pm.
