EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of a loving wife, dear mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Doris M. Montelaro on Friday, February 18, 2011 at her home. She was 52. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, February 21, 2011 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

Doris was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She had thirtyfive loving years with her husband, Lucien Montelaro of Eunice. Doris was a loving mother to four lovely children who she was very close to including her son, Louis P. Montelaro and wife, Millie of Eunice three daughters, Amanda, Ashley and Angela Montelaro all of Eunice two brothers, Roderick Miller of Crowley and Bobby Miller and wife, Yvonne of Iota two sisters, Dolores Edwards and husband, Jesse and Doreene Miller all of Mooring Sport. She was a dear and loving grandmother to her three grandchildren, Taylor Vige, Matthew, and Luc Montelaro. Many nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends will also miss her.

Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, James and Rena LeJeune Miller her infant sister, Wanda Miller her father and motherinlaw, Louis and Josephine Montelaro sisterinlaw, Frances Reed.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, February 20th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, February 21st from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Sunday evening.
