Donald West

Funeral Services for Donald James West will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Eunice officiated by Deacon Chuck Ortego. Interment will follow at Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg.

Donald James West, 73, of Mamou passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home, He was born on June 4, 1949 in Mamou to the late Evans and Mercedes Dupre West. Donald worked as an Inspector for Union Tank Car Company prior to retirement. Upon retirement Donald became a crawfish farmer. His loved his family and his greatest joy was his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dale West of Mamou; son, Shawn West and wife, Reva of Mamou; grandchildren, Dylan West and wife, Macy, Alyssa West and Jenna West of Mamou; sister, Glenda Fuselier and husband, A.J of Eunice; brother, Chad West and wife Lucretia of Lanse Meg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by death by his parents, Evans and Mercedes Dupre West; and brother, Daniel Brian West.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Eunice on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 4:00-9:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 8:00-10:00 AM. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2022, by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
