Donald Leger

IOTA-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donald John Leger announces his passing on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 67. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Inurnment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry Celebrant.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Donald will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife of 46 years, Janice H. Leger of Iota; son, Jacob W. Leger and wife, Kelly of Carencro; two daughters, Jacqueline M. Bertrand and husband, Christopher of Iota, and Julie A. James and husband, Erasmus of Dallas, TX; brother, Hubert Leger of Iota; sister, Margie Breaux and husband, Wallace of Lafayette; and the joys of his life, six grandchildren, Abby, Mary-Grace and Molly Leger, and Zoey, Zaida and Zyla James.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Agnes Simar Leger; sisters, Debra Leger and Mary-Ellen Hunt; and grandson, Lane Michael Leger.
