IOTA-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2007 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for Donald Burton,64, who passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007 at Crowley American Legion Hospital.

Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Mowata.

Survivors include his wife, Gerry Burton of Evangeline; a stepson, Al Miller of Evangeline; a step-daughter, Janet Gatte of Evangeline; four brothers, Mack Burton, Randall Burton, Jude Burton all of Evangeline, Gerald Burton of Beaumont, TX; three sisters Romona B. Boone of Richard, Connie B. Doucet of Jennings,, Judy B. Herpin of Evangeline; a godchild, Sonya Boone of Houston, TX; eight step-grandchildren; twenty one nieces and nephews; thirty great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Gertude Hensgens Burton; two sisters, Margaret and Geraldine Burton.

The family request that visitation hours be observed on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota from 10:00am until 10:00pm and again on Monday, July 16, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
