BASILE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donald Ray Ardoin announces his passing on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the comfort of his home with loving family by his side. He was 73. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:30am on Monday, July 02, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Father Keenan Brown Celebrant.

Donald was a very kind, giving and considerate man. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He was retired from DOTD after working for 15 years and worked in the oilfield prior. Donald was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him especially his son, Larry Wayne Ardoin and wife, Stacy of Gary, TX; daughter, Melissa Faye Guillory of Basile; brothers, Louis Ardoin and wife, Dale of Eunice, and Hilton Ardoin and wife, Paulette of Lake Charles; sister, Dora Dean Fruge of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Gordon, Nick, Christy, Randy, Darren, Johnathan, and Demi; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

He now rests in heaven with his loving wife, Judy Ann Melancon Ardoin; parents, Hadley and Dula Manuel Ardoin; and brother, Egbert Ardoin.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Monday, July 02, 2018 from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 10:30am.
