EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00 pm Thursday, March 12, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Diana Dee Gillard, 71, who passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Ed Duhon Celebrant.

She leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss her. Diana is survived by her son, Christopher Kyle Gillard of Eunice; her three daughters, Cecilia Ann Fontenot and her husband, Dr. Tim P. Fontenot of Eunice, Christina Maria Hingle and her husband, Ted Hingle of Lafayette, and Marie Teres Johnson of Eunice; her seven grandchildren, Dr. Timothy S. Fontenot and his wife, Greta of Eunice, Andrew Paul Fontenot and wife, Lauren of Baton Rouge, Alex Fontenot of Eunice, Katy Hingle and Matthew Hingle both of Lafayette, William Johnson, and John Christian Johnson both of Eunice and her one great grandchild, Andrew Paul Fontenot II of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Rose Doise Fontenot; her husband, E.J. Gillard; and her grandson, Timothy Paul Fontenot.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 2:00 pm Thursday afternoon.
