EUNICE-A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Delphine Langley known as Tittle to all who knew and loved her. Tittle died peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Opelousas General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice with Father Darren Eldrige Celebrant. Entombment will follow at the St. Paul Mausoleum in Eunice.
Tittle was born on December 04, 1924 in Eunice. She was married to her husband Albert for 66 years. Tittle was a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters and also a lifetime active member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She worked for Dr. Brady and Dr. Fink as an optometry assistant for 30 years. The things that brought Tittle the most joy of her life were being with her family and friends, camping, traveling, and playing cards. In her spare time she loved to sew and crochet. She had a wonderful sense of humor she loved to joke. Her family is content that she is now with her Heavenly Father.
Tittle will be lovingly remembered by her wonderful son and daughter-in-law, Albert Lynn Langley and wife, Elaine of Eunice; her loving granddaughter, Laura Langley Angelle and husband, Kyle of Houston, TX; her two precious great grandchildren, Conner Angelle and Taylor Langley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tittle will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Langley; her parents, Zenon and Omelice Veillon Savoy; her brothers, Jack Savoy and Gerald Buddy Savoy; and her grandson, Stacy Langley.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 12 noon until 9:00 pm with a Rosary that evening at 7:00 pm and visitation will begin again on Thursday at 8:00 am until time of services.
