BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice for Delia Schambers, 94, who passed away on Monday, October 13, 2008, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul cemetery with Father Bill Rogalla officiating.

A Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Delia is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Douget and husband, Alvin of Basile, Arvella Jannise and husband, Homer of Abilene, TX; three grandchildren, Robert Douget and wife, Marsha, Michael Jannise and wife, Norma and Ricky Jannise; six grandchildren, Garrett, Tyler and Spencer Douget, Allyssa, Cameron and Michelle Jannise. Delia will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family request that visiting hours by observed on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 8:00 am until time of services.
