alignleft EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dea Manuel, 100, will be Celebrated Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. The Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with The Revered Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrating.

Mrs. Manuel, a resident of Eunice, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2008 at her residence. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She also loved baking sweet dough pies.

A loving Mother and Grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Bobby Manuel and wife, Greta of Eunice, Stephen Manuel and wife, Sarah of Longville; three daughters, Maefine M. Austin of Eunice, Emma Rae Vidrine of Ville Platte, Janelle Thibodeaux and husband, Roderick of Pine Prairie; one daughter-in-law, Judy Manuel of Metairie; eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Littell Manuel and one son, Roland Manuel.

Family request that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until services. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon David Guillory at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
