BASILEWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Davis Vidrine who peacefully slipped away on his 74th year on Friday, July 1, 2011. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 10:00 am with Father Brian Taylor officiating.

Davis proudly served his country and he was retired from the oilfield. He will forever be loved and missed by everyone whose hearts he touched including his wife, Pat Bertrand of Basile his two sons, James Davis Vidrine of Dawsonville, GA and Michael Vidrine of Atlanta, GA his three daughters, Dori Redfern and Rebecca Higginbotham both of Atlanta, GA and Catherine McDaniel of Lafayette his step daughter, Missy Fontenot of Basile his sister, Charlotte Aucoin of Lafayette his ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zelian and Catherine Chapman Vidrine and a sister, Lou Brunet.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Monday, July 4th from 8:00 am until time of services.
