BASILEIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Davis L. Romero announces his passing on Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home at the age of 64. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Sunday, September 07, 2014 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Basile. Interment will follow in the Protestant Cemetery in Basile with Pastor Dwayne Smith officiating.

Davis was a pipefitter, welder and a jack of all trades. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors, but most of all, Davis was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Julianne Romero of Basile, his father, Leonard Romero of Kissimmee, FL his son, Jacque Romero and his daughter, Dwan Romero both of Basile his three brothers, Manaen Romero of Bethlehem, GA, Maritan J. Romero of Basile and Mansual Romero of Sulphur two sisters, Maggie Banta of Sulphur and Marilyn Hoffpauir of Duson. The joy of his life his grandson, Nathaniel Reece Romero of Basile as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Virgie G. Romero.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Saturday, September 6th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, September 7th from 10:00 am until time of services.
