IOTAA wonderful husband, father, son, grandfather and friend, David Bryan Patin will be missed by all who knew and loved him. David died on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Pineville. He was 55. A Requiem Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Francis Miller, OSM Celebrant.

David serviced his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War having a National Defense Service Medal. He was also a crane operator in the oilfield. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Charlene B. Patin of Church Point his parents, Richard and Helen Patin of Iota his two sons, Justin Ryan Patin of Church Point and Brandon David Patin and wife, Jana of Opelousas his daughter, Crystal Patin Manuel and husband, Ray of Mamou his two half sister, Delia Fay Patin of Hackberry and Brenda Abshire of Houston, TX and his two grandchildren, Oriana and Brian Manuel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Tuesday, October 12th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
