BASILEIt is with the heaviest of hearts and great sadness that the family of David Sup Michael Aucoin announces his passing on Wednesday, May 07, 2014 at the age of 47. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father David Hebert officiating.
David better known as Sup was a 1985 graduate of Basile High School and worked for many years in the oilfield. He enjoyed life to the fullest and his happiest times were spent creating memories with friends and family. He will forever be loved and missed by everyone especially his son, Michael Ray Gaspard of Vienna, Georgia his two loving sisters, Celize Liz Johnson and husband, Kenneth and Glynis Kay Christ and husband, Darwin all of Basile his four nephews, Steve Johnson of Deridder, Brian Johnson of Rayne, Charles Christ of Oakdale and Dennis Christ of Arnaudville one niece, Amanda C. Boulet of Eunice his uncle and aunts, Ray and Norma Aucoin of Eunice, Jeffery and Jessie Aucoin of Jeanerette and Robert and Carolyn Aucoin of Basile six great nieces and five great nephews as well as many friends. Sup lives on in all his family, friends and anyone who had the grace to be touched by him.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Silton R. and Haidee D. Aucoin grandparents, Mitchell and Bonnie Aucoin, Don Louis and Ava Doga his cousin, Robbie Aucoin aunt and uncle, Burnella and Atlas Fruge.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, May 9th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, May 10th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father David Hebert will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
