EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Darrell Rice Fontenot announces his passing on Friday, September 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 58. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

Darrell was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his daughter, Emily Fontenot of Eunice mother, Patsy Fontenot of Eunice brother, Randall Fontenot and wife, Jackie of Eunice sister, Connie Tupper and husband, Woody of Mowata and two grandchildren, Allison and Ava Daigle. Also mourning his loss is his lifelong partner, Caroline Fusilier of Eunice.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved father, L.D. Fontenot and nephew, Jacob Scott Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, October 1st from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
