EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of Damon Joseph Toups announces his passing on Sunday, June 07, 2009 at the age of 29. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at 1:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Iota. Burial will follow in the Maxie cemetery in Iota with Pastor David Greene officiating.

The things that brought Damon the most joy in his life were being with his family and friends, riding bikes, four wheelers, hunting, fishing, and he loved the outdoors. He was employed with Island as a production operator.

Damon will be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandson. He is survived by his wife, Haley Dupre Toups of Iota; his father, Dennis Toups of Sulphur; his mother and step father, Darlene and Joey P. Reagan of Iota; his daughter, Billie Jenee Toups of Iota; his two brothers, Joshua T. Reagan and Nicholas B. Regan both of Evangeline; his two sisters, Sarah E. Regan of Iota and Jodie J. Regan of Evangeline; his maternal grandmother, Alberta Matte of Iota; paternal grandmother, Sue Toups of Sulphur; and his step grandmother, Eveline Regan of Iota. Damon will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, D.L. Toups and his maternal grandfather, Freddie Matte.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, June 08, 2009 from 11:30 am until time of services on Tuesday, June 09, 2009.
