EUNICE-Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 04, 2007, at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Mr. Dallas Fontenot, 88, who passed away Saturday, December 30, 2006 at his residence in Bayou Vista.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Fontenot was retired from Halliburton after 38 years of service. Dallas served in the United States Navy during World War II and was St. Mary Parishes oldest World War II Veteran.

The family request that visitation hours be observed on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 9:00 pm. Services will continue in Eunice Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home from Noon until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, January 04, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.

Dallas is survived by his son Dale Fontenot of Lafayette; two daughters, Tressie Deville of Marrero, Dolores Verret of Aurora, Col; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild expected in January of 2007.
Two wives, one son, four brothers and two sisters preceded Dallas in death.
