IOTAIt is with regret that the family of Curney John Hebert announces his passing on Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings at the age of 72. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 05, 2013 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Jude Thierry Celebrant.

Curney served his country honorably in the United States Army. He retired as an Electrical Superintendant but most of all he had a love for the outdoors as well as playing his guitar and singing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and his greatest joy in life was his family his loving wife, Gertha LeJeune Hebert of Iota and their three children, Kathy H. LeJeune and husband, Ronnie of Iota, Deanna H. Reiners and husband, Jude of Branch and Todd J. Hebert and wife, Selisa of Abbeville a sister, Brenda H. Gravot of Iota. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to eight grandchildren, Andy LeJeune, Heather L. Zaunbrecher, Jude, Joshua, and Stephanie Reiners, Tori and Seth Hebert and Hali Bertrand and five great grandchildren, Catherine, Alaina, Evalan and Owen Zaunbrecher and Izabelle Reiners. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Dennis and Beatrice Guidry Hebert two brothers, Harvey and Delo Hebert and a sister, Joyce Leger.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, April 4th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, April 5th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday evening.
