BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, August 09, 2008, at 11:00 am at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Clotile Gladys Durio, 91, who passed away on Monday, August 04, 2008 at the Dubuis Hospital in Lake Charles. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor officiating.

A native of Basile and a resident of Lake Charles, Gladys was a loving mother, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother survived by her son; Charles Rodney Durio and wife, Carol of Lake Charles; two daughters, Patricia Fontenot of Lake Charles, Eppie Mae Sessions of Sulphur; five grandchildren, Chris Fontenot, Shawn Perez, Felicia Armstrong, Melissa Durio, and Brian Durio; eight grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews. All who knew and loved her will miss Gladys.

Her husband, Charles Durio, Sr, preceded her in death: her parents, Ozeman and Leona Doga Vidrine; son-in-law, Jimmie Fontenot, Sr.; sister, Ozia V. Johnson; two grandsons, Jimmie Fontenot, Jr. and Eric Sessions.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, August 08, 2008 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, August 09, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Robert Leger will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
