EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clifford Keowen announces his passing on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his home at the age of 80. A Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 02, 2016 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richard with Pastor Orville Rogers officiating.

Clifford was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a parishioner of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Clifford was retired from farming and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved his family and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine M. Keowen of Pitreville; two sons, Blaine Keowen and wife, Loraine of Pitreville and Michael Keowen and wife, Pam of Erwinville; daughter, Bethany Persica and husband, Boo of Baton Rouge; sister, Gay Smith and husband, Carlton of Oak Grove; seven grandchildren, Malia Guilbeaux, Tyler Keowen, Emily Keowen, Breann Keowen, Alyssa Keowen, Brandon Persica, and Bret Persica; three great grandchildren, Jayda Savoie, Layton Guilbeaux, and Brendan Guilbeaux; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Elmena Carpenter Keowen; brother, Dana W. Keowen; sister, Carol Keowen.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on Saturday, July 2nd from 12:30 pm until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1154 Academy Road, Eunice, LA 70535, 337-457-2418.
