Clifford Joseph Fruge, 78, of Eunice died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice.BRA Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, LSU-E Drive, Eunice, LA.BRHe was a well-known carpenter and painter who did biblical paintings at St. Anthony Church and St. Thomas More Church. He was a big fan of the Eunice High Bobcat team, attending games for the past 40 years.BRHe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane Courville Fruge; four sons: Darrell Gene Fruge, Ray Anthony Fruge, Marcus James Fruge, all of Eunice, Frances Lynn Fruge and wife Darla Crochet Fruge of Hathaway; two daughters, Jennifer Fruge Sonnier of Eunice, and Anna Fruge Shelton and husband, James Butch Shelton of Mandeville, LA; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Fruge and wife, Brenda McGee Fruge of Mamou, and Nelson James Jimmy Fruge and wife, Joella Talbott Fruge of Duralde.BRHe is preceded in death by his father, John O. Fruge; mother, Edna C. Fruge; brother, Joseph Rodney Fruge; sister, Waver Sis Fruge Cain; son, Keith Jason Fruge.BRIn lieu of flowers, donations to the family will help with memorial expenses.
