IOTAA wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend, Clerda Bertrand Miller will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Clerda died peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Blaine Clement Celebrant.

Clerda will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her two sons, Dicky Miller and wife, Linda of Indian Bayou and Joey Miller and wife, Karen of Lafayette her two daughters, Hilda Sis Caswell of Jennings and Ava Doga and husband, Harvey of Egan two brothers, Clayton Bertrand of Eunice and Allen Bertrand of Jennings two sisters, Mary Jane Blanchard of Eunice and Patrella Bertrand of Basile. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and further blessed with eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Joseph C. Miller her parents, Oday and Ava LeJeune Bertrand two sons, Buck and Hillard Miller a daughter, Vicky Miller a great grandchild, Chelsea Kershaw one brother, Esterwood Bertrand and three sisters, Ida Mae Ardoin, Joyce Manuel and Alverda LaFleur.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, December 28th from 2:30 pm until time of services on Thursday, December 29th. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Wednesday evening.
