EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, October 06, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for, Classie L. Myers, 80, who passed away on Thursday, October 02, 2008 at his residence. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Tom Voorhies officiating.

Mr. Myers was a veteran in the United States Army having served in World War II and the Korean War. A Loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Classie is survived by his wife Dorothy F. Myers of Eunice; two sons, Jonathan N. Myers and wife, Felicia, and Stephen P. Myers all of Eunice; a daughter, Carla M. Montz and husband, Tommy of Lafayette; a brother, Francis Myers of Eunice; a sister, Rena Price of Elton; six grandchildren, Erich Crawford, Kevin Montz, Emily Montz, Luke Montz, Merrill Westbrook, and Jill Myers; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelas and Marie Hebert Myers ; two sons, Kimbrough I. Myers, and Gary L. Myers; four brothers, Wallen Myers, Isreal Myers, Elton Myers, and Joe Myers; two sisters, Julia Fontenot, and Merice Myers.

Pallbearers are Kevin Montz, Luke Montz, Erich Crawford, Doyle Westbrook, Keith Heinen, and Teeny Guillory.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, October 05, 2008, at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, October 06, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
