EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Clarence Paddy Reviere announces his passing on the morning of Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Oaklane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. He was 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Nathan Comeaux officiating.
A proud veteran, Clarence served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper during World War II, where he received a World War II victory medal along with numerous other medals. He was a retired Iron Worker Local 623 and an avid gardener but most of all he was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Clarence will be missed dearly by his beloved wife of 65 beautiful years, Edlie Young Reviere Mrs. Rev of Eunice and they were the proud parents of three children, a son, Kerry Reviere and wife, Loretta of Erwinville two daughters, Romona Reviere and Debra Reviere Miller and husband, Matt all of Eunice a brother, Robert Reviere of Lawtell and a sister, Frances Dupre of Plaisance. He was blessed with ten grandchildren, Daniel Bergeron, Donna Brown, Paula, Preston Wayne, and Katie Bergeron, Honey Beth Hood, Justin and Kevin Reviere, Benjamin and Andre Miller he was further blessed with eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Solomon and Edmonia Godeau Reviere two brothers, Abby and James Reviere and two sisters, Ruby R. Miller and Ursline R. Long.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, December 28th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, December 29th from 9:00 am until time of services. Father Nathan Comeaux will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday evening.
