BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Clarence Bobby Matte, 70, who passed away on April 09, 2007 at his residence in Pasadena, Texas.

Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Basile with Father Jules Speyrer officiating.

Mr. Matte was a resident of Pasadena, TX. And a native of Basile.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Guillott Matte of Pasadena, TX; two sons, Jeffery Matte of Pasadena, TX, Mark Matte and wife, Michelle of Peyton, CO; four daughters, Therese Seilhan and husband, Kevin of Basile, Annette Tadlock and husband, Paul of Pasadena, TX, Sarah Hatcher and husband, Terry of Clinton, Ohio, Alice Christine Matte of Pasadena, TX; two brothers, Felix Matte and wife, Kayla of Lafayette, Jester Matte of New Jersey; three sisters, Dorthy Hebert of Jennings, Doris Menard and husband, Bee of Duson, Mary Alice Young and husband, Austin of Jennings; thirteen grandchildren.

His parents, Leo and Bernice Miller Matte preceded him in death.
The family request that visitation hours be observed from 3pm until 10 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice and again on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 7am until time of services with a Rosary to be recited at 5 pm on Tuesday evening.
