EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Clarence Simon Fontenot announces his passing on Friday, April 12, 2013 at his home in Kinder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Nathan Comeaux Celebrant.

Clarence will be remembered as an avid football fan he loved the Saints and LSU and also had a love for hunting and fishing but most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His greatest joys in life were his family including his loving wife, Charlotte Douget Fontenot of Kinder and their three loving children, Allison Simone Fontenot and Sara Elizabeth Fontenot both of Kinder and Adam Seth Fontenot of Basile. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Anna Claire Fontenot, Lee Austin Fontenot, Ava Fontenot, Joseph Fontenot, Izabella Pruett, and Avery Martin. He was a beloved brother to two sisters, Vernita OPry of Monroe and Dorothy Douget of Eunice. He will be loved and missed by everyone whose hearts he touched.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Clarence and Mazie Ardoin Fontenot and a sister, Margaret Coleman.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, April 14th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, April 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm Sunday evening.
