EUNICE-The family's heart are filled with sorrow as they announce the sudden passing of their loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Christine Marcantel West on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 66. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on January 13, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Basile with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Christine's memory will live on in all who loved her, especially her four sons, Joseph West and wife, Monica of Eunice, Nathan, Shawn and Billy West all of Iota; her brother, Delano Marcantel of Eunice; her two sisters, Curline Marcantel Mott of Morgan City and Cathy O'Conner Moore of The Woodlands, TX; her nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, James West, granddaughter, Sarah West; parents, Curdy and Clarise Figurant Marcantel; and her brothers, Hammond, Oras Paul and Joseph Marcantel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, January 12th from 12 noon until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, January 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 5:00 pm Friday.
