EUNICEWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Cherry LaCombe who peacefully passed away on her 73rd year with family by her side at the Lafayette Regional Medical Center on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 17, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Nathan Comeaux Celebrant.
Cherry was a retired seamstress from Jantzens. She loved flowers, camping, and fishing but most of all she loved her family. She was very much loved by her three sons and daughtersinlaw, Keefen LaCombe and wife, Vanessa, James LaCombe and wife, Phyllis and Tim LaCombe and wife, Chris all of Eunice her companion, Eston Bellow of Eunice her brother, Roylis Naquin of Springfield, Missouri her sister, Elverlis Ole Nanny Guillory of Ville Platte. The joys of her life her eight grandchildren, Kami, Keesha, Keefen II, Kortnie, Cody, Taylor, Miki, and Jude nine great grandchildren, Caitlin, Treven, Cade, Alex, Ashton, Peyton, Greyson, Brianna and Lindsey. Also mourning her loss are her nephews, Mike and Junior Naquin and nieces, Belinda Ortego and Cathy Naquin.
Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Andy James LaCombe, Jr her parents, Dalbes and Battile Ardoin Naquin her granddaughter, Holly Ann LaCombe nephews, Gerald Deville and Johnny Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, July 19th from 10:00 am until 12 midnight and again on Friday, July 20th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
Carrying Cherry to her eternal resting place will be Wilton Soileau, Bobby Fontenot, Eddie Ortego, Brian Deaville, Beau Huval and Kelly Trahan.
