EUNICE-Funeral services for Mr. Charley Ben Fontenot will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier. Fr. Cedric Sonnier will officiate.

Mr. Fontenot, age 90 and a resident of Chataignier, died on Sunday, July 16, 2006, at 12:15 a.m. at his residence. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Fontenot was preceded in death by his wife, Una Foret Fontenot.

The visitation will begin on Monday, July 17, 2006, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his son, Benny D. Fontenot and wife, Mary Lou of Eunice; his daughter, Barbara Anne Smith and husband, Roger of Chataignier; five grandchildren, Angela Vidrine and husband, John, Suzanne Smith, Brian Fontenot and wife, Debbie, Kelly Godeaux and husband, Fabian, and Holly Fontenot; and three great grandchildren, Allison Crowe and husband, Todd, Stan Vidrine, and Hailey Godeaux.
