Charles Harry Stanley

EUNICE – Charles Harry Stanley sadly passed away on May 26, 2024, at the age of 84 in Eunice, Louisiana. His life journey began on April 23, 1940, in Clarksburg, West Virginia as the son of Harry and Laura Weekley Stanley. In his younger years, Charles dedicated himself to serving his country and proudly served in the United States Army. After his service, he embarked on a career as a DJ, where his vibrant personality and love for music earned him the nickname, Thunder and Lighting. Throughout his career, Charles brought joy and entertainment to countless individuals through his music. 

 Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew him including his daughter, Crystal Ledoux and husband, Lester of Eunice; son, Scott Stanley of Eunice; five grandchildren, Adrian Marks, Ashley Boone, Joshua Boone, Heather Stanley, and Ryan Stanley; numerous great grandchildren; and brother, Richard Stanley.

 May we remember Charles Harry Stanley not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives through his music and presence. Rest in peace, Thunder and Lighting.
