EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Charles Clement Richard announces his passing on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Edward Cemetery with Father Wayne Duet Celebrant.

Charlie was a retired farmer and had a love for gardening and woodwork. Charlie was married to Eldine Thibodeaux Richard for 55 beautiful years, the proud parents to ten children which includes six sons, Keith Richard and wife, Karen of Richard, Ronald Richard of Walker, Tim Richard and wife, Jackie of Church Point, Brian Richard of Eunice, Scott Richard and wife, Emily and Dwayne Richard and wife, Tabitha all of Richard four daughters, Diane Miller and husband, Mark, Wanda Prather and Joe Comeaux, Faye Babineaux and husband, Lawrence and Susan Savoy and husband, Douglas all of Richard a sister, Joan Ledoux of Iota. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to twenty three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved daughter, Carolyn Richard his parents, Clement and Dolise Savoy Richard a brother, Herman Richard and four grandchildren.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, February 14th from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, February 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday evening by Lerland LeJeune.
