EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Charles G. Lomas announces his passing on Friday, September 06, 2013 at the age of 60. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 09, 2013 at Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Perry Hubbs officiating.
A proud veteran, Charles served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War, where he was a medic in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Brigade, he received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal w60 Device and a Parachutist Badge. He was a proud business owner of International Coating Inspectors, strong supporter of St. Judes Children Hospital. He loved to BarBQue and watch football, but most importantly he loved his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sue Lomas of Eunice four children, Charles F. Lomas and wife, Karmen of Eunice, Marsha L. Phelps and husband, Brent of Sulphur, Adam P. Lomas and Richard D. Lomas both of Eunice four brothers, John Lomas and Francis Tiny Lomas, both of Eunice, Tony Lomas of Krotz Springs, and Mike Deriso of Duson three sisters, Anita Young and Arlene Sister Bordelon both of Gonzales and Betty Trahan of Scott. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Jacob Courville, Allison Lomas Beaugh, Christopher Phelps, Jonathan Charles J.C. Phelps and Keldon Lomas and two great grandchildren, Amelia and Jonah Courville.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Norman and Pearl Fontenot Lomas.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, September 9th from 9:00 am until time of services.
