EUNICE It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Charles Lear Comeaux announces his passing on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette. He was 90. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.
Charles served his country proudly in the United States Navy having served in World War II. He was a past member of the VFW and the American Legion. He also owned and operated Napa Auto Parts in Mamou, La. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be missed dearly by his wife of 64 years, Rose Comeaux of Eunice two sons, Charles Keith Comeaux and wife, Gwen of Lafayette, and Jody Lear Comeaux of Suwanee, GA two daughters, Katherine Comeaux Smith and husband, Winston of Juneau, AK, and Jan Comeaux Parks and husband, Brett of Eunice. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren, and further blessed with eight great grandchildren.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Oscar and Marie Aguillard Comeaux four brothers and five sisters and daughter inlaw, Cindy Comeaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, August 21th from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, August 22nd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin and Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm Tuesday evening.
