EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Charles C.J. Babineaux announces his passing on Sunday, March 30, 2013 at the Opelousas General Hospital. He was 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Charles, known as C.J. to many, loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed his weekly card games with his friends. A loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Charles will forever be remembered by his two sons, Timothy Babineaux and wife, Sable, and Kenneth Ray Fontenot and wife, Debbie, all of Eunice brother, Shelton Babineaux and wife, Welaine of Lake Charles two sisters, Lottie Babineaux of Sulphur, and Agnes Miller of Indian Village five grandchildren, Kory Fontenot, Kody Fontenot, Katy Fontenot, Amanda Babineaux, and Crystal LaFosse one great grandchild, Payton Fontenot and good friend, Wylene Cole of Mamou.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Lawrence and Anastasia Lavergne Babineaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, April 1st from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, April 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Monday evening by Deacon David Guillory.
