Charchelle Brown Armato, 67, of Eunice, LA passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am with a rosary at 9:15am in the mausoleum of St. Paul’s cemetery in Eunice, LA on Saturday, February 8th, 2025.
Charchelle was the daughter of Curlin Joseph Brown and Dovie Guillory Brown. As a 1975 graduate of St. Edmund’s High School, she went on to attend Northeastern Louisiana University where she met her future husband, and later graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelors Degree in General Studies. Charchelle married Peter Michael Armato on September 8, 1979. In early marriage they lived together in Patterson, Louisiana while she worked at Patterson State Bank. After moving back to Eunice, she welcomed her first daughter, Maddie-Margaret, then Emma-Evelyn arrived 4 years later. She enjoyed her time in the workforce, however, when her children came along all she wanted to do was “be a mommy.” She loved being a wife and mother, fully devoting herself to caring for her parents, raising and homeschooling her two daughters, and lending a hand to those in need. Her adventurous spirit was always up for a road trip and enjoyed taking the road less traveled. One of her lifelong dreams was to visit all 50 US States which she successfully accomplished in December of 2023.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Armato, her two daughters, Maddie-Margaret Armato and Emma-Evelyn Armato, her sisters – Charmaine Wilkins and Rochelle Bellow – her brothers – Ramon Brown, Dominic Brown, and Maurice Brown – along with 25 nieces and nephews, godchildren, and faithful friend Hilda Stahl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curlin Joseph Brown and Dovie Guillory Brown, as well as her beloved godmother, Rita Mae Creswell. Her family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the LSU Health New Orleans ALS clinic, Team Gleason, The ALS Association, and Tyra Wheeler – her devoted care giver – for their tireless efforts and support in caring for her during her brave fight.
To honor her wishes and continue her fight to find a cure for ALS, please donate to Samaritan’s Purse or Team Gleason in lieu of sending flowers.
