EUNICE ~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Celia Francois Courville Coleman announces her passing on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at The Ellington in Rayne at the age of 95. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Matthew Hebert, Celebrant.

Celia enjoyed gardening and working outside. She was a fantastic cook and provided care to those in need. She was also involved with Woodmen of the World and enjoyed their civic activities and was a delegate at conventions. Celia will be missed dearly by her loving daughter Elizabeth "Betty" Courville Gauthreaux and husband, D. Raymond of Eunice; three grandchildren, Durphy Raymond Gauthreaux, II and wife, Tacy of Minnesota, Don Wallace Gauthreaux and wife, Monica of Scott, and Dawn Elizabeth Gotreaux and husband, Brian of Scott; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wallace Courville and Luther "Tiny" Coleman; son, Russell Wayne Courville; parents, Stanislas and Hermina Andrepont Francois; brothers, Roger and Larry Francois; and a great granddaughter, Serenity Elizabeth Gautreaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 27th from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, August 28th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will lead a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday.
